Hobbies

What I like doing the most is travelling, getting to know new places, meeting and enjoying the company of people. I am all for a walk in the park, going to the market, getting a coffee, going to the movies, visiting an art exhibition… you name it.

I am also interested in TV shows. I am not afraid to say that I like watching TV and I believe it did not make me stupid or ever will, for that matter. Some of my favorite sitcoms are Seinfeld, Futurama, Dr. House, Two and a half men, NCIS and Stargate. I also like to watch movies. I recommend everyone to watch the Matrix more than once. I also enjoy watching the Big Lebowsky, Constantine, Persepolis, X-Men, Ocean’s 11 and the Naked Gun. There are of course many more.

Music was a big Hobby of mine in the past. Nowadays I don’t listen to it that much anymore. I still like rock, heavy metal and music from the 80s, as well as some electronic and some pop music. In the past I have even played instruments, like the electric guitar and the drums. I have had many bands, none of them of success, but I had fun in the beginning and stress in the end, and this is why I am not such a big fan of it anymore.

I also like reading. I read every once in a while the hitchhikers guide through the galaxies when I want to have a good laugh. My favorite book of all times is Shogun, from James Clavell. Most of the time I read books related to sociology and media though. My favorite is the social construction of reality from Berger and Luckmann.

I like putting puzzles together, playing games like triominos, carcassonne, uno and some other funny card games.

As for sports, I am quite horrible in all of them. I do swim very well though, what makes it an exception. I have also taken tai-chi, kung-fu, and belly dance classes, which I still intend to get back to.

And last but not least: the Internet!
